Vahli Dikri Yojana' launched to save Gujarat's daughters. In the budget on Tuesday, the state allocated Rs 133 crore for a scheme that will provide Rs 1 lakh to the first and second daughters of a family after they turn 18 for their wedding or higher education. The DyCM told the state assembly that the scheme, which is the first of its kind for the Gujarat government, will help prevent femicide, promote girls' education and provide a substantial amount to finance girls' higher education and marriages.

3. The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs
